GL Accounting Expert – Enterprise Managed Services

About the role

Join PwC Poland's Finance Managed Services team as a GL Accounting Expert. You will support domestic and international clients by managing end‑to‑end General Ledger processes and contributing to the transformation of finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle GL accounting, including complex journal entries, accruals, provisions and reclassifications.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities and ensure their accuracy.
• Perform and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, resolving complex or aged items.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for GL accounting, providing guidance to teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and internal policies.
• Identify and drive process‑optimization and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.
• Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
• Participate in or lead system implementation, migration and process‑transition projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• In‑depth understanding of IFRS.
• Knowledge of local GAAP.
