Financial Analyst

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Europe Controllers Group in Poland. The role supports financial reporting, statutory compliance, and accounting integrity for Mastercard Europe and its Polish entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare US‑GAAP to local GAAP conversions and draft financial statements with external service providers.
• Execute monthly reporting to the National Central Bank, statistical reporting, and other statutory filings.
• Collaborate with auditors and external partners to meet deadlines and ensure compliance.
• Review trial balances, support the shared service centre in issue resolution, and prepare month‑end closing entries.
• Monitor transfer‑pricing compliance and support European tax compliance initiatives.
• Conduct analytical reviews of net revenue accounting, ensuring alignment with customer agreements and SOX requirements.
• Assist various departments—including Tax, Treasury, and Business Development Finance—with ad‑hoc requests and process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in professional audit (Big 4 preferred), corporate controllership, or advanced financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of complex accounting concepts, including US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP.
• Experience in statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, and coordination with external auditors.
