Financial Analyst (Crypto) – AML

About the role

AML RightSource is looking for a detail-oriented Crypto Analyst to join its Financial Crime Compliance team in Krakow. You will monitor, investigate and report suspicious activity related to AML and cryptocurrency transactions, working closely with compliance, risk and operations teams to meet regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct transaction monitoring and analysis for AML and crypto-related activities.
• Investigate alerts and escalate suspicious cases in line with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with global AML regulations.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in cryptocurrency and financial crime prevention.
• Write clear, regulator-ready reports using the Five Essential Elements (who, what, when, where, why, how).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2-3 years of experience in crypto, with AML, financial crime or compliance experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of AML regulations and cryptocurrency risk frameworks.
• Familiarity with KYC, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of cryptocurrencies and wallets.
• Blockchain analytics: tracing transactions, clustering wallets and identifying illicit addresses with tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs and Elliptic.
• Transaction monitoring: applying rule-based and machine-learning models and managing alert triage and disposition.
• Data analysis: detecting suspicious patterns in large datasets, including graph-based anomaly detection.
