EMEA Demand Planner – Business Facing

About the role

As an EMEA Demand Planner you will join 3M’s supply‑chain team in Wroclaw, supporting the business‑facing demand‑planning function for the Europe‑Middle‑East‑Africa region. You will work closely with portfolio leaders, sales, marketing and supply planners to translate market intelligence into accurate forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with local, European and global stakeholders to align demand plans with business objectives.
• Participate in the S&OP process, integrating OP/QOR assumptions and market intelligence.
• Collect, validate and incorporate market intelligence and forecast‑bias data.
• Manage demand‑planning exceptions, out‑of‑control demand and unusual consumption patterns.
• Support new product introductions, end‑of‑life transitions and phase‑in/phase‑out activities.
• Run what‑if simulations and scenario analyses to guide planning decisions.
• Provide demand inputs to supply and production planning to balance cost, cash and service levels.
• Lead or contribute to continuous‑improvement projects within the planning function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in demand planning, supply planning or related forecasting roles.
• Strong understanding of demand‑planning principles and business processes that drive demand generation.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, international environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with demand‑planning and ERP tools such as Kinaxis or SAP APO.
• Statistical forecasting and data‑analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency in managing forecast exceptions and performance metrics.
