Data Solutions Engineer – Project Role

About the role

Join PwC's Advisory team in Warsaw as a Data Solutions Engineer on a project‑based assignment. You will design, build and manage data solutions using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Azure services, helping clients transform their data landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines in Databricks and Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Implement solutions on Azure, focusing on Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and related services.
• Use PySpark and Python to create robust data workflows and engineering code.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge and mentor less‑experienced colleagues.
• Follow PwC’s Delivery Excellence framework and contribute to internal delivery guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on work with Databricks, PySpark and Python for data engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse.
• Strong understanding of SQL, OLTP/OLAP, Data Lake, Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh and Data Fabric concepts.
• Familiarity with an ETL tool (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue).
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Good communication skills in English (C1) and basic Polish.
• Ability to operate as a sole proprietor or business entity in Poland.
