Data Manager – FCU Technology

About the role

The Data Manager will lead data analytics consulting projects for PwC's FCU Technology team, supporting financial services clients facing anti‑financial crime challenges. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end data analytics projects, gathering business and technical requirements and supervising solution implementation.
• Design and implement management information products, analytical solutions, and raw data extraction processes.
• Lead the development of data transformation, management, and access tools while ensuring code quality and platform resilience.
• Implement performance monitoring for data pipelines and mentor the team on visualisation and health‑tracking techniques.
• Support data governance, data modelling, and compliance with legal and policy requirements.
• Prepare team members for stakeholder meetings, addressing data‑related concerns and evaluating data costs, usage, and availability.
• Stay up‑to‑date with technology and anti‑financial crime trends and contribute to internal value‑proposition initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data modelling, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of anti‑financial crime domains such as AML, CTF, fraud risk management, FATCA, and sanctions.
