Data Engineer – Cloud & GenAI Solutions

About the role

PwC Poland’s Digital& team is looking for a Data Engineer to design and deliver cloud‑based data solutions. You will work on innovative projects across banking, insurance and retail, supporting clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Data Engineering SME on client and internal projects.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical data products.
• Build and maintain Azure cloud solutions using Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Synapse, Cosmos DB and related services.
• Design, implement and monitor scalable ETL pipelines.
• Support GenAI use cases by creating appropriate data pipelines and vector databases.
• Guide junior team members and review their code.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong communication skills in English (minimum B2) and Polish for internal communication.
• Experience processing large volumes of structured and semi‑structured data.
• Familiarity with Scrum or other agile methodologies.
