Customer Service Officer – French

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Officer who is fluent in French to join BASF’s Performance Chemicals Division in Poland. The role supports customers across chemicals, plastics, automotive and other industries by handling orders, resolving issues and identifying new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for French‑speaking customers during order placement, processing and follow‑up using SAP R/3 SD and e‑commerce tools.
• Maintain accurate customer master data and configure SAP settings specific to each client.
• Collaborate with sales, supply‑chain, transport, warehousing and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage customer complaints from receipt through resolution, ensuring timely communication.
• Identify and onboard new customers, contributing to business growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sales, Business Studies, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably in the chemical or automotive sectors.
• Strong customer orientation, teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken); German is a plus.

Required skills

• SAP R/3 Sales & Distribution (SD) or comparable ERP system.
• Experience with e‑commerce order management tools.
