Cloud Data Modelling Engineer

About the role

PwC Poland’s Cloud & Digital team is seeking a Cloud Data Modelling Engineer to design and implement data models that support enterprise‑wide cloud platforms. You will work closely with data architects and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable, high‑quality data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models for relational, distributed, hierarchical, object‑oriented and NoSQL databases.
• Create data entity diagrams and workflows across multiple domains such as Finance, Supply Chain and Marketing.
• Support Data Architects in building modern, harmonised data architectures for enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers to extract, load and transfer data from legacy systems to reference systems, reports and dashboards.
• Conduct data assessments to identify and remediate quality issues in master and transactional data.
• Automate physical data model generation using tools like Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.
• Share best practices on modelling techniques such as Kimball dimensional modelling and contribute to data standards and MDM policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud data modelling or related data engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience with data transformation platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric).
• Proven ability to develop logical models into physical models using Kimball or similar frameworks.
• Experience writing data transformation scripts in Python (PySpark) and SQL.
• Business‑level English (B2 or higher) for technical documentation.
