Associate Manager, Accounting

About the role

Join Stryker’s finance team in Warsaw as an Associate Manager, Accounting on a fixed‑term (maternity cover) contract until April 2028. You will lead record‑to‑report activities for multiple European entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead general accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for assigned legal entities and meet all reporting deadlines.
• Review financial data, identify issues affecting accuracy or compliance, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee statutory and corporate reporting to align with accounting standards and company policies.
• Manage and develop a team of seven accounting professionals through coaching, workload coordination and performance support.
• Maintain the risk and control framework, ensuring documentation, control execution and audit readiness.
• Drive process improvement, standardisation, audit remediation and compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in statutory accounting, general ledger accounting, financial reporting or audit.
• At least 1 year of experience managing or coordinating accounting professionals.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance frameworks, including the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Experience using Hyperion.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
