Associate Director, GDMS Clinical Data Management (Geography)

About the role

The Functional Area Geography Associate Director, GDMS Clinical Data Management leads day‑to‑day data‑management operations across the assigned geography. The role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality data delivery while supporting regional strategy and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Data Management operations, guaranteeing quality, compliance, operational excellence and inspection readiness.
• Drive resource planning, workload balancing and performance monitoring with operational stakeholders.
• Ensure consistent implementation of GDMS/GCTO standards, regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Manage operational risks, support continuous improvement initiatives and cross‑regional alignment.
• Build, develop and lead high‑performing teams through coaching, onboarding, talent development and performance management.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of clinical data management, trial lifecycle, study start‑up processes and industry regulations (GCP, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Proven people leadership with focus on coaching, mentoring, talent development and team performance.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills across global, cross‑functional environments.
• Ability to lead change, drive innovation and continuous improvement in dynamic settings.
