Associate Data Platform Engineering Manager

About the role

Booksy is looking for an Associate Data Platform Engineering Manager to report to the Head of Data Engineering in the Data & Analytics - Data Platform Engineering team. The role leads a small, high-impact team of 2-3 platform engineers while staying heavily involved in hands-on technical work. It sits in a rapidly growing, international, cloud-based marketplace that connects independent business owners with their customers.

Key responsibilities

• Split time between people leadership (coaching the team, driving agile delivery, managing OKRs) and engineering tasks.
• Design reliable Terraform/Terragrunt modules on GCP.
• Champion data security controls (Dataplex, DLP).
• Establish standard, self-service developer tools that let downstream data teams build with confidence.

Required profile

• Dual-track experience: 5+ years in data platform, infrastructure or DevOps engineering, with initial experience leading, mentoring or managing tech teams.
• Professional English fluency (B2 or higher), as English is the company language.
• A modern, open-source-first mindset and exposure to next-gen architectures such as PySpark, Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude) and monitoring LLM-driven pipelines.

Required skills

• Terraform/Terragrunt for infrastructure as code, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
• GCP data services: BigQuery, Cloud Composer, GKE, IAM.
• CI/CD pipelines: GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes.
