Workday Developer

About the role

Join PwC's Internal Business Application Centre to design, develop, and support Workday Extend applications and integrations that drive efficiency for global business functions. You will work closely with solution architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, cloud‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new or enhance existing Workday Extend applications and integrations following best practices.
• Create detailed specifications, data dictionaries, and integration designs.
• Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and functional owners to refine requirements.
• Contribute to global standardisation initiatives through automation and innovation.
• Continuously upgrade technical skills and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in technology or related field.
• At least 2 years of software development experience and 3 + years with Workday technical integrations.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a global or virtual team.

Required skills

• Workday Studio, Workday Extend, Workday REST API, Report as a Service, WQL, WWS, Orchestrate, PMD Scripting, Workday Connectors, EIBs, DT.
• API concepts (SOAP, REST), XML, XSLT 3.0, JSON, OAuth 2.0, encryption, secure data transfer.
• Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, C#, Python.
• Familiarity with Workday HCM, Benefits, Talent Management, Recruiting, Security configuration.
• Understanding of cloud SaaS architecture, integration patterns, and data governance.
