Tech Lead (PHP + React)

About the role

SINGU is a fast-growing PropTech company whose platform manages commercial real estate for over 500 clients in 35 countries. Its Technical Account Management (TAM) team builds customizations, dedicated functionality and integrations for large enterprise clients. A second TAM team is being set up for a new strategic enterprise client, and SINGU is looking for a Tech Lead to take technical ownership from day one. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and is technical leadership, not people management.

Key responsibilities

• Define the technical direction of the new TAM team, including architecture, code quality and delivery
• Set the team's ways of working: delivery process, Definition of Ready/Done, code review standards and technical onboarding
• Act as the primary technical contact for the client: workshops, solution design, estimates, status updates and escalations (in English)
• Turn client needs into specifications and tasks, and own the final technical specification
• Run sprint planning, estimation and prioritization, balancing committed scope with ad-hoc client requests
• Make architectural decisions for customizations so they do not fragment the core product, and align with Platform/Core teams and the Chief Architect
• Review code, mentor engineers and run technical onboarding
• Improve the team: testability, local environments, automated tests and CI
• Build and review production code about 40-60% of the time

Required profile

• Fluent English (C1) and fluent Polish
• 1+ year as a Tech Lead (or equivalent) of a team of 3+ engineers, owning architecture and production decisions
• Ability to write specifications, solution designs and estimates that clients sign off on
• Experience turning vague business requests into clear technical scope and explaining trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders

Required skills

• 5+ years of commercial PHP (7.4+/8) at scale, with clean, testable, maintainable code
• Production React experience (TypeScript preferred)
• Strong PostgreSQL: schema design, performant queries, migrations and execution plans
• Designing and owning REST APIs and integrations with external systems (imports, exports, SSO)
• Security-by-default mindset (input validation, access control, data protection)
• Active use of AI tools in the workflow, able to guide the team
• Nice to have: enterprise/customization-heavy B2B SaaS background, ERP integrations (SAP, Dynamics, PeopleSoft), SFTP/CSV/API imports, Phalcon, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Flutter
