Stress Engineer – Dynamic Components

About the role

Join Airbus Helicopters' Dynamic Components Stress analysis team to develop robust stress solutions for rotorcraft. You will work on the entire lifecycle of dynamic components, from conceptual design through certification, production, and fleet support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed static stress, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses on helicopter transmissions, rotors and other dynamic systems.
• Prepare airworthiness justification documents and ensure compliance with regulations such as CS‑27/CS‑29.
• Support full‑scale and component testing, validating simulations against test results.
• Optimize mechanical designs and contribute to product development of legacy and new aircraft.
• Improve internal methodologies and automate calculation routines using Python.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in static stress analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, and familiarity with certification processes.
• High attention to detail, strong collaboration skills and a commitment to safety and innovation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with FEA tools such as Simcenter, HyperWorks, Samcef, Nastran/Patran.
• Python programming for automation of analysis workflows.
