Senior (Staff) Penetration Tester

About the role

Snowflake is building the Data Cloud and needs security experts who can think like AI‑native collaborators. As a Senior (Staff) Penetration Tester you will break into cloud‑native systems, discover vulnerabilities, and help shape a more secure product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing engagements across diverse cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identify vulnerabilities in software, systems, and networks.
• Define scope, priorities, test plans and timelines for each engagement, and develop custom testing methodologies for new technologies.
• Collaborate daily with developers and security engineers, communicate findings, and provide remediation recommendations.
• Partner with the Product Security team to influence design reviews, controls, and security architecture.
• Build automated security testing tools and frameworks to improve scalability and reduce repeat issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on penetration testing experience, with a track record of breaking applications in any cloud.
• Ability to discover and exploit bugs in languages such as Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Python, or C++.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, micro‑services, client‑side applications, database drivers, connectors, and web applications.
• Excellent communication skills and experience balancing security with business requirements.
