Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

The Codest is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to own and evolve its production environment. You will be responsible for keeping the current stack running while automating manual processes and designing a scalable architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the production system – deployments, rollbacks, capacity planning, incident response.
• Design and execute a scaling roadmap: horizontal scaling, load balancing, caching, object‑storage offload, database replication, IPFS node fan‑out.
• Evaluate and integrate cloud building blocks (managed databases, object storage, CDN, load balancers) where cost‑effective.
• Build CI/CD pipelines from scratch, preferably using GitHub Actions.
• Establish observability: metrics, logs, error tracking, SLOs and meaningful alerts.
• Manage TLS/ACME automation, DNS, and secrets handling, replacing hard‑coded credentials.
• Introduce infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform or comparable) to make the environment reproducible.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to author IaC modules, runbooks, and incident‑response playbooks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in platform or site‑reliability engineering at a senior level.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to make pragmatic build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑growing, collaborative environment.
