R2R Senior Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented R2R Senior Specialist to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our accounting team in Customs Support Group. To be successful in the role, you should have a solid working knowledge of accounting standards and strong Excel skills, be highly organised, able to work with little supervision and perform under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accurate month‑end close.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial standards and internal controls.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Analyse historical trends and provide insights to support forecast accuracy.
• Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis to support management decision‑making.
• Support the production of statutory accounts.
• Support the audit process and manage external auditor requirements.
• Produce supplementary KPIs.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a management accounting or similar finance role.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferable).
• Ability to interpret financial data.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Ability to prioritise own workload.
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
• Advanced English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
