Project Manager – R&D Radar Systems

About the role

Our client is a European deep‑tech startup building next‑generation radar systems for detecting and tracking small, low‑flying drones. As a Project Manager you will bring structure to a fast‑moving R&D environment, aligning multiple engineering streams and ensuring predictable progress from concept to manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Define milestones, timelines and priorities across multiple R&D workstreams.
• Coordinate RF, hardware, embedded, software and mechanical teams.
• Translate product goals into detailed project plans with founders and technical leads.
• Manage dependencies between antennas, RF chains, electronics, mechanics, software and embedded systems.
• Track execution, identify risks and blockers early, and drive their resolution.
• Maintain project documentation, roadmaps and task tracking in Jira and Confluence.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in product, engineering or R&D environments.
• Proven ability to manage technical projects with multiple parallel workstreams.
• Strong problem‑solving, risk‑management and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
