Process Engineer – Machining Process Solution

About the role

Join Walter, a Sandvik business, as a Process Engineer focused on Machining Process Solutions (MPS) for the Aerospace market in Poland. You will bridge local engineering capabilities with the global MPS organization, driving growth, innovation, and customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and expand Walter’s Aerospace business in the Polish market.
• Serve as the technical focal point for Aerospace customers, sales, and engineering teams.
• Support strategic customer projects, process validations, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Identify and deliver customer value through MPS services, machining optimisation, and business cases.
• Strengthen collaboration between Walter Poland, Walter Germany, and the global MPS organisation.
• Increase service, tooling, and solution sales through technical consulting and customer engagement.
• Build and transfer Aerospace know‑how within the region while contributing to global best‑practice sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Very strong CAM expertise – Siemens NX mandatory.
• Experience with CATIA preferred; additional CAM systems are a plus.
• Knowledge of VERICUT is advantageous.
• High‑level CAD/CAM knowledge, including multi‑axis machining, 2D/3D design.
• Extensive understanding of cutting‑tool applications, machining strategies, and process optimisation.
• Strong NC programming skills and project‑management experience.
• Solid grasp of CNC machine tools and controllers (e.g., Siemens 840D, FANUC, Mazatrol, Okuma OSP).
• Structured, disciplined working style.
