Polish Teacher Primary

About the role

The American School of Wrocław is seeking a dedicated Polish Teacher for primary grades. You will deliver engaging Polish language instruction, support student wellbeing, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and email lesson plans to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare and organize class materials and maintain an up‑to‑date grade book.
• Design monthly assessments, grade assignments, and record grades on schedule.
• Supervise playground duties and keep the classroom decorated with relevant materials.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department to support students with academic, behavioral, or special needs.
• Participate in teacher meetings, workshops, parent meetings, and school events.
• Monitor daily attendance, manage homework boards, and encourage student participation in sub‑committees.
• Communicate openly with students, parents, and staff, and refer emotional or family issues to the psychologist.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in primary education.
• Advanced proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Commitment to safeguarding, diversity, equity, inclusion, and the school’s core values.
• Ability to work under pressure, plan strategically, and lead classroom activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools for classroom management.
• Intermediate‑level Microsoft Office skills.
