Material Manager

About the role

Air Liquide Global Engineering & Construction Solutions Poland is looking for a Material Manager to control material flow on global construction sites, ensuring timely availability of quality materials within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Control complete material flow on site using standard methods and systems.
• Plan and manage site infrastructure, warehouses, lay‑down areas, scrap disposal and spare parts.
• Coordinate with procurement, shipping and suppliers for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Receive and issue materials to subcontractors with proper documentation and quality certificates.
• Identify and report surplus, missing, short or damaged materials following QC procedures.
• Monitor material handling performance focusing on safety, quality and erection schedules.
• Prepare status reports for monthly progress and site close‑out.
• Lead and manage the site material team and subcontractors, holding regular review meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction material management.
• Strong commitment to safety (HSES) and ability to promote safety standards.
• Proven leadership to manage teams and subcontractors, resolve conflicts and make fast decisions.
• Fluent English with clear communication and high integrity.
• Eligibility to work in Poland and high mobility for worldwide site assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction management tools and material handling systems.
• Experience in site logistics, scheduling and rigging.
• Knowledge of international technical codes and contractual requirements.
• Familiarity with SAP (added value).
