Manager, Planning Systems & Processes – Supply Chain

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Manager for Planning Systems & Processes within its Supply Chain function in Warsaw. This individual contributor role focuses on optimizing end‑to‑end supply planning, aligning global S&OP strategies, and driving system enhancements to support surgical and aseptic product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Global S&OP and manufacturing planning teams to optimize supply planning execution and measure performance.
• Lead the alignment of business requirements, processes, governance, and planning system configuration across Alcon’s supply chain.
• Identify and evaluate new features for supply planning systems, collaborating with software vendors and the IT Center of Excellence.
• Serve as the functional subject‑matter expert for integrating the planning system with SAP ECC and other internal tools.
• Collaborate with surgical and vision‑care franchises to assess strategic, tactical, and operational planning improvements, including what‑if analysis.
• Prioritize and drive business‑process improvements such as pull‑to‑push replenishment, capacity planning, and obsolescence management.
• Review network supply‑planning strategy, prepare change requests for the Change Advisory Board, and develop business cases for system enhancements.
• Define training needs, coach planning analysts, and mentor planners worldwide to raise supply‑planning maturity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply‑chain planning, S&OP, or related functions within a global manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into system configurations and process improvements.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving cross‑functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across regions.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex planning concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
