Junior Sales Support Specialist - Analytical Systems

About the role

ABB's Analytical Systems team is looking for a Junior Sales Support Specialist to support the sale of analytical systems across the European region. The role is based in the Katowice office, with approximately 90% office-based work on a hybrid basis, and reports to the Service Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Sell services related to analytical systems, including Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), gas chromatographs and water analyzers.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations for instrumentation and control (I&C) solutions, covering pricing, technical solutions and project execution.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and ensure effective marketing activities for customers.
• Develop sales plans using company tools and monitor their progress.
• Analyze tender and bid documentation and calculate investment costs for projects in the petrochemical, chemical, gas and related industries.
• Prepare inquiries, obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, and negotiate with domestic and international customers.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Service, Sales and Shared Service Centers during the quotation and estimation process.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least one year of experience preparing technical quotations for automation, protection systems, or as a design engineer in automation, process analytics, system integration or instrumentation.
• Fluent written and spoken Polish and English.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under time pressure.

Required skills

• Ability to analyze technical specifications, discuss technical requirements with customers and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Understanding of analytical products such as CEMS, process gas chromatographs, laser analyzers, FT-IR and FT-NIR spectrometers.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control (I&C) products and systems.
