Java Developer – Frontend & API Development

About the role

Join the Daily Banking cluster of Commerzbank Poland to develop web‑based applications and front‑ends for digital banking products, using modern Java and JavaScript technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new web‑based applications and React front‑ends for the bank’s digital products, leveraging the Commerzbank Living Style Guide.
• Design and implement interfaces that connect front‑ends to back‑end services, translating complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support incident resolution, bug fixing, and assist the test and development teams.
• Participate in an agile team environment, attending daily scrums, planning, review and retrospective ceremonies.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java, J2EE and Spring framework.
• Basic knowledge of message/queue systems, especially Apache Kafka.
• Experience with unit testing and a strong understanding of object‑oriented design principles.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and REST API design.
• Ability to design interfaces according to frontend requirements and hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in English and Polish at minimum B2 level.
