Global Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Global Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager to define and run the Global Product Group's Quality and Continuous Improvement strategy. The role governs the Quality and CI function in line with business priorities and global directives, embeds customer focus across the value chain, and drives process excellence at scale. It is based in the Poland organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the GPG Quality and Continuous Improvement strategy, including governance of the Quality and CI function.
• Act as an advocate for the customer so the Voice of the Customer is represented throughout the value chain.
• Manage the Global Quality Management System and coordinate continuous improvement of business processes.
• Maintain and secure the required certifications in all units within the GPG scope.
• Set process performance indicators, put in place internal controls, and act on deviations to close them out.
• Resolve high-profile customer non-conformities through corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead a quality-driven culture by influencing senior managers and peers to make the right decisions.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Software Engineering or a closely related analytical or technical discipline.
• Substantial experience delivering enterprise software, with a solid software engineering foundation and exposure to quality assurance, product management and/or project management in complex environments.
• Proven track record of leading continuous improvement and change initiatives, including Root Cause Analyses, Kaizen events and Lean Action Workouts.
• Influential leader who can engage teams through clear direction and credibility.

Required skills

• Experience owning and operating a global Quality Management System, including international certification or compliance frameworks.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, CMMI and/or Quality Auditing, applied to drive measurable improvement.
