General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Arrow Electronics is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its Finance team in Gdansk. This position is ideal for candidates with solid accounting fundamentals who want to deepen their expertise in General Ledger within an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and manage General Ledger accounting for assigned Arrow entities.
• Participate in month‑end closing activities, including accruals and pre‑payments.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and assist with variance analysis.
• Assist internal financial reporting for European entities and the US headquarters.
• Support VAT, Intrastat, and Sales List reporting and related compliance.
• Work with fixed assets, statutory accounting, reconciliations, and consolidation.
• Assist with internal and external audits and perform SOX controls.
• Collaborate with other Finance teams, including Accounts Payable, to improve processes.

Required profile

• Previous professional accounting experience, preferably in an international company, SSC/BPO or corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and month‑end processes.
• Polish and English language skills at C1 level.
• Accuracy, attention to detail and a proactive attitude to learn.
