Frontend Developer / Software Engineer

About the role

ING Hubs Poland is hiring a Frontend Developer / Software Engineer in Katowice within the Analytics Platforms & Data Products team, which aims to make analytics engineering data-driven by combining UX research and engineering with data science. The team works in a semi-remote, globally distributed setting and has offices in Amsterdam, Warsaw, Katowice, Bucharest and Manila. The role is named "Engineer II" or "Engineer III" in ING's global job architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and components for JavaScript/TypeScript web applications.
• Design and develop web applications, optimising them for performance and scalability, including browser rendering checks.
• Solve incidents, troubleshoot and debug to improve performance.
• Develop automated tests to meet business needs.
• Work with RESTful APIs and take part in code reviews.
• Collaborate with clients, customer success teams and quality assurance on their projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in frontend technologies and frameworks, in the React ecosystem.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Experience collaborating with other teams such as UX.
• Excellent communication skills, able to work in a semi-remote, globally distributed team.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform services and solutions.
• Data structures, algorithms and problem-solving.
• DevOps practices including Git, CI/CD and monitoring.
• Extra points for Go and/or Java, distributed reactive applications, RDBMS, Kafka and the ELK stack.

The expected salary for a specialist position is 7,100 - 12,000 PLN and for a senior specialist 9,600 - 15,000 PLN; the ranges may differ from the remuneration regulations.
