Freelance DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a freelance DevOps Engineer to join PwC Poland’s Digital & Application Development team in Warsaw. The role focuses on building and automating CI/CD pipelines, implementing infrastructure-as-code, and ensuring secure, reliable cloud environments for financial-sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus and related tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and manage Kubernetes clusters (Helm, Ingress).
• Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell and Linux shell to streamline day-to-day operations.
• Monitor and remediate security patches, vulnerabilities and compliance using tools such as Veracode, Qualys or Gradar.
• Collaborate with software developers and engineers to ensure release processes are robust and repeatable.
• Provide guidance on networking, firewall, DNS, TLS/SSL and other security configurations.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of hands-on DevOps experience in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows or Linux systems and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to work independently on freelance contracts.
