Customer Service Officer – English (EVO)

About the role

The Performance Chemicals Division of BASF seeks a Customer Service Officer with strong English skills to manage order processing and customer interactions. You will act as the primary interface for customers, ensuring smooth order placement, follow‑up, and resolution of issues across a range of chemical and automotive products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer orders using SAP R/3 SD and e‑commerce tools, including cash management.
• Create and maintain customer master data and specific SAP configurations.
• Collaborate with sales, supply chain, transport, warehousing, and finance teams to deliver excellent service.
• Handle customer complaints from reception through resolution.
• Identify and onboard new customers and business opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sales, Business Studies, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in the chemical or automotive industry is a plus.
• Near‑native proficiency in English (written and oral); knowledge of a Scandinavian language and German is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international environment.
