Claims Handler - Commercial Insurance (Mid to Expert Level)

About the role

Drive excellence in commercial insurance claims management in Poland. You will work independently to resolve property, liability and related commercial claims while delivering fair solutions for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle, analyse and resolve commercial business claims (Property, Liability, etc.) in line with Zurich’s service standards.
• Review policy coverage, gather facts, assess losses and negotiate settlements with customers, brokers and partners.
• Ensure accurate and timely claims handling, balancing customer focus with legal and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Risk Engineering and Legal to resolve complex cases and identify process improvements.
• Support digitalisation and continuous development of claims processes.
• Act as escalation point for particularly complex or high‑value claims (Senior/Expert level).
• Share knowledge and best practices within the Claims team.

Required profile

• 5+ years (mid‑level) or 8+ years (expert level) experience in commercial, industrial or corporate insurance claims handling.
• Strong knowledge of Polish insurance law, policy wordings and regulatory environment.
• Degree in Law, Insurance, Business or related field; professional insurance qualifications are a plus.
• Analytical, decisive and able to manage multiple stakeholders under time pressure.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in Polish and English; German is an advantage.
