Buyer, IBP

About the role

The Buyer, IBP is responsible for executing procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials, services, and products while supporting quality, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. The role works closely with planning, supply chain, and suppliers to maintain business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders in line with demand and supply plans.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to meet production and customer requirements.
• Monitor order confirmations, delivery schedules, and shipment tracking.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and track KPIs such as on‑time delivery, lead‑time adherence, and quality.
• Resolve supply issues, delays, and escalations proactively.
• Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to align procurement plans.
• Monitor inventory health and purchase order aging to avoid excess and shortages.
• Support inventory optimization and working‑capital targets.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and controls.
• Analyze procurement data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Purchasing or Supply Planning.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience in supplier relationship management.
