Business Compliance Manager, Emerging Markets EP

About the role

The Business Compliance Manager, Emerging Markets EP leads and develops the Emerging Markets EP Business Compliance organization within Johnson & Johnson's MedTech Cardiovascular business. The role ensures efficient, business-focused execution of Healthcare Compliance, Professional Education, educational grants, contracting, event management and payment processes across the region. It reports to Emerging Markets EP leadership and partners with Professional Education, Healthcare Compliance, Finance, Legal, Procurement and Commercial Excellence teams. The position is based in Warsaw, Prague, Ljubljana, Zagreb or another CEE location, is full-time and includes direct people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Business Compliance Specialists, set performance objectives and priorities, and foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive standardization and harmonization of compliance processes and maintain regional governance, policies, procedures and best practices aligned with Healthcare Compliance, Legal, Finance, Procurement and Professional Education requirements.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and operational metrics.
• Oversee educational courses, speaker programs, workshops, grants and sponsorships, including documentation, approvals, contracting, reporting, reconciliation and audit readiness.
• Oversee healthcare professional, organization, grant, sponsorship and vendor contracting, and act as escalation point for complex matters.
• Oversee payments, financial controls, reconciliation, invoice management and cross-country charge processes.
• Support critical CEE events, grants and contracts and act as subject matter expert for business stakeholders.
• Build partnerships with Commercial Excellence, Professional Education, Healthcare Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Legal and Human Resources.

Required profile

• University degree required.
• Significant experience in Healthcare Compliance, Professional Education, Contracting, Business Operations or Commercial Excellence in healthcare or medical devices is preferred.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, development and performance management, is preferred.
• Experience managing regional or multi-country operations and supporting Emerging Markets or multinational organizations is preferred.
• Experience within Johnson & Johnson MedTech is preferred.
• Ability to work in a complex matrix organization, lead through ambiguity and drive change.

Required skills

• Strong project management, stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English; additional languages in Emerging Markets preferred.
• Knowledge of HCCLife, SAP, Ariba, Lynx and related compliance platforms is preferred.
