Airframe Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineer (d/f/m)

About the role

Join a pioneering structural analysis team that ensures the safety, efficiency, and longevity of next‑generation fuselage structures and supports an active flying fleet. As a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer you will be involved from conceptual design through certification and fleet support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed fatigue and damage tolerance assessments on primary airframe structures.
• Prepare airworthiness justification documents and ensure compliance with regulatory fatigue requirements (e.g., CS/FAR 25).
• Support full‑scale and component fatigue testing, including load spectrum definition, test monitoring, crack‑growth correlation and model calibration.
• Evaluate structural modification requests for in‑service aircraft to maintain operational safety.
• Improve internal F&DT tools and automate calculation routines using Python.

Required profile

• Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with fatigue analysis, fracture mechanics and damage tolerance for airframe structures.
• Familiarity with FEM tools such as HyperMesh and standard industry F&DT software.
• High attention to detail, strong collaboration skills and a commitment to safety and innovation.
• Fluency in English (working language).
