Accountant – Financial Reporting & General Ledger

About the role

In this role you will perform key financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, regulatory and statutory requirements. You will prepare financial statements, support general ledger closing, and participate in local, regional and global projects.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and perform general ledger bookings and account reconciliations, including deferred income tax, accruals, provisions and pre‑payments.
• Provide group and external reporting (balance sheet, P&L, supplementary information) according to IFRS and other GAAPs such as German GAAP or Solvency II.
• Perform intercompany reconciliation and postings, statutory adjusting entries, FX revaluation and cost allocation cycles.
• Support and collaborate on projects, including changes to the Group Chart of Accounts.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders such as FAR Controllers, actuaries and local accountants.

Required profile

• Finance or Accounting degree (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of general accounting and ledger closing processes.
• Fluent English (C1 level) and strong analytical attention to detail.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to multitask.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
• Experience with SAP or similar financial systems.
