Senior Payroll Specialist (German)

About the role

SD Worx is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist fluent in German to join its Katowice team. You will be responsible for delivering end‑to‑end payroll services for German‑speaking clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance and high‑quality support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute full‑cycle payroll processing on time and with precision.
• Ensure compliance with local payroll, tax, social security and labour regulations.
• Act as a trusted advisor for complex payroll queries from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Analyse, optimise and improve payroll processes and systems.
• Support payroll implementations, customer projects and special initiatives.
• Provide functional guidance and share knowledge within the payroll team.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in payroll administration and processing.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, social security and compliance requirements.
• Fluent German; English is an advantage.
• Detail‑oriented, customer‑focused and proactive mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with at least two payroll software systems.
