Technical Director – Engineering Leadership

About the role

The Technical Director will steer the engineering strategy for Airbus Helicopters Polska, aligning technical direction with business needs. This senior leader will provide clear vision, inspire teams, and act as the primary liaison with Airbus Helicopters sites across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the engineering strategy to exceed quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering continuous learning and adoption of advanced tools.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director, Management Board, and Airbus Helicopters leadership in France, Germany, and Spain to align corporate objectives.
• Oversee engineering budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure proposals.
• Drive KPIs, ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Serve as escalation point for operational issues and manage risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain engineering policies, guidelines, and organizational structures.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in aerospace or complex engineering environments.
• Strong track record of delivering large‑scale engineering projects on schedule and budget.
• Excellent communication skills to build bridges between sites and stakeholders.
• Ability to shape strategy, influence senior management, and drive cultural change.
