About the role
The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Senior Programme Associate to support the implementation of Protection and Immigration & Border Governance activities in Poland. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the National Programme Officer, you will lead programme delivery, coordinate stakeholders and ensure effective protection interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of protection and IBG projects, monitoring progress against work plans.
- Analyse implementation challenges and recommend adjustments to modalities and timelines.
- Research and synthesize national, regional and international developments, legislation and best practices.
- Monitor budget expenditures, verify fund availability and maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate financial, administrative and technical aspects in line with IOM policies and donor requirements.
- Plan and deliver capacity‑building workshops for internal and external partners.
- Maintain liaison with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors and other stakeholders.
- Prepare correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, narrative and financial reports, ensuring timely submission.
- Document good practices, lessons learned and contribute to SOPs, policies and concept papers.
- Supervise, guide and train reporting staff.
Required profile
- High school diploma with at least seven years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights or a related field with five years of experience.
- Proven experience liaising with Border Guard, Office for Foreigners and other governmental authorities.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience in programme monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with a range of stakeholders.
