About the role
We are looking for an experienced RPG/WebSphere developer who will also supervise a small development team. The position is fully remote and supports a US‑based client, working on business‑critical applications running on IBM i (AS/400) and WebSphere platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RPG applications on IBM i (AS/400) environment.
- Design, implement, and support WebSphere‑based services.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and security.
- Lead and mentor a small team of developers, coordinating daily activities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in modernization initiatives for legacy and web‑based applications.
Required profile
- Proven experience in RPG development on IBM i (AS/400).
- Hands‑on knowledge of IBM WebSphere application server.
- Ability to supervise and guide a development team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to system performance.
