Network Engineer

About the role

SD Worx is seeking a Network Engineer to join its Network team in Katowice. You will be responsible for operating, designing, configuring and implementing the company’s end‑to‑end network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for payroll and HR services across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and project teams to translate service requests into network solutions.
• Assess new applications against architectural standards, policies and regulations.
• Coordinate designs with other technical engineering groups.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of major incidents together with senior engineers.
• Provide Level‑3 operational support, resolving complex network issues.
• Prepare, plan and obtain approval for network changes through the CAB.
• Deploy and document network changes, ensuring knowledge transfer.
• Optimize the existing network environment and support data‑center projects.
• Design and develop advanced network features aligned with business needs.
• Lead new design initiatives within the network team, fostering collaboration.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Cisco switches and routers.
• Knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls.
• Familiarity with F5 load balancers.
• Network design and architecture.
• Root‑cause analysis (RCA) of network incidents.
• Level‑3 network support and troubleshooting.
• Network change management and CAB processes.
• Data‑center networking projects.
