Logistics Sourcing Specialist – Trade Compliance

About the role

As a Logistics Sourcing Specialist focused on Trade Compliance, you will lead global sourcing initiatives for external service providers that support export controls, sanctions screening, customs brokerage, trade data, and related compliance activities. You will work closely with 3M’s Trade Compliance, Legal, Logistics and Regional Supply Chain teams to ensure consistent, compliant and cost‑effective supplier selection worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global sourcing projects and RFP processes for Trade Compliance service providers, including onboarding, contracting, renewals and performance management.
• Partner with Trade Compliance and Legal to verify that supplier capabilities meet regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in line with corporate sourcing and compliance policies.
• Support supplier risk management, governance and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Analyse market trends, supplier performance and cost structures to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Coordinate with regional teams to standardise sourcing approaches while respecting local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, verified before start date.
• Minimum five years of experience in sourcing, procurement, logistics or supply chain with exposure to Trade Compliance‑related services.
• Working knowledge of Trade Compliance concepts such as export controls, sanctions, customs or trade data.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is strongly preferred.
