C++ Developer

About the role

Join SD Worx’s eBlox payroll team as a C++ Developer. You will work on the flagship payroll solution used by Belgian mid‑to‑large organisations, processing over 500,000 payslips each month. Your code will directly influence the timely and accurate payment of half a million workers.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance, maintain and refactor a mature, battle‑tested C++ codebase.
• Work with optimized Btrieve databases and MFC interfaces for high‑volume payroll processing.
• Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from idea to production deployment and ongoing optimisation.
• Collaborate with business experts to translate complex Belgian payroll rules into technical solutions.
• Debug and troubleshoot legacy code spanning decades, ensuring rock‑solid reliability.
• Participate in modernising the backend while preserving existing performance.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of professional C++ development experience.
• Comfort with legacy systems and willingness to work on long‑standing codebases.
• Ability to understand and implement detailed payroll business logic.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; no direct customer contact required.
