Senior Payroll Specialist (Dutch) – Hybrid/Remote

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist fluent in Dutch to manage Belgian payroll operations. The role is hybrid with the possibility of full remote work, offering the chance to contribute to a global leader in eye care while collaborating with international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced knowledge of Belgian payroll processing and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
• Collect, review, and aggregate payroll data from multiple automated and manual sources.
• Maintain up‑to‑date process documentation and monitor supplier payroll activities for accuracy.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues, respond to inquiries, and manage case resolution within agreed timelines.
• Request funding for payroll, taxes, and third‑party payments, coordinating with Treasury.
• Analyze legislative and regulatory changes affecting payroll and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Timekeeping, Benefits, Compensation and other functions to gather payroll inputs efficiently.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in payroll operations or coordination, specifically with Belgian payroll.
• Fluency in English and Dutch (mandatory).
• Relevant education such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Experience in a shared‑service environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Workday HRIS knowledge.
• ServiceNow experience.
• Familiarity with payroll vendors ADP, SDWorx, and Strada.
